HARPWellness

01. Thesis

Wellness and pharmacy are converging.

Pharmacies have the trust, the licensure, and the traffic, but no wellness offering. We acquire dominant independent pharmacies in captive markets, optimize what's already there, and install a recurring-revenue wellness platform on top of it.

Mission and vision

We keep pharmacies local, and turn them into the front door to wellness.

HARP Wellness acquires independent pharmacies to keep them standing, keep them staffed by the people their communities already trust, and equip them to deliver the wellness care their patients are currently buying somewhere else.

We don't want to replace the corner pharmacy. We want it to become the most trusted place in America to get well, not just to get treated.

Positioning

For a century, the pharmacy has been the most trusted health building in the American neighborhood. Then reimbursement broke, and thousands closed. Meanwhile consumers began spending trillions on proactive health, and spending almost none of it at the pharmacy.

HARP Wellness exists to close that gap. We buy these businesses, keep them open, make them better run, and give them the one thing they've never had: a wellness offering worthy of the trust they already hold.

We're not consolidating pharmacies. We're repositioning them for where care is going.

The thesis, in one sentence

Wellness and pharmacy are converging. Pharmacies have the trust, the licensure, and the traffic but no wellness offering. We acquire dominant independent pharmacies in captive markets, optimize what's already there, and install a recurring-revenue wellness platform on top of it.

Critically: we are not replacing the pharmacy. We are adding to it. The core dispensing business stays intact and gets better run. HARP Wellness is the growth layer built on top of a stable base, capturing the shift from sick care to proactive health as it happens, in the buildings consumers already trust.

Everything that follows proves one of four claims: the demand is real, the pharmacies are available, the economics work per store, and the operating playbook is repeatable.

The shift: from sick care to health care

The market has already voted with its wallet.

  • Global wellness economy: $6.8T in 2024, up 7.9% year over year, projected to reach $9.8T by 2029 (Global Wellness Institute)
  • Wellness spending is now ~4x the global pharmaceutical industry($1.8T) and 60% as large as all global health expenditure ($11.2T)
  • The category has doubled since 2013

This is a durable, decade-long reallocation of consumer spending from reactive treatment to proactive optimization. It is happening outside the pharmacy today. It should be happening inside it.
