Integration Timeline
A realistic, sequenced answer to "what happens, and when": from closing through a fully operating wellness line.
- Closing
- Ownership recapitalizes. You take chips off the table and roll a meaningful stake into the continuing business. Your licenses, staff, and prescriber relationships transfer intact. From the outside, nothing about the pharmacy looks different the next morning.
- First few months
- We work on the fundamentals of the existing business alongside you: purchasing terms, inventory management, staffing structure, workflow, and front-end merchandising. No wellness build-out yet; this stage is about proving the core pharmacy runs better before anything new is layered on.
- Months 3–9 (varies by store)
- The wellness build-out begins: consult and draw room setup, clinical staffing recruitment or training for existing staff, app rollout, and the affiliated prescribing entity is connected to your location. Membership sales to your existing patient base start once the clinical service is genuinely ready, not before.
- Ongoing
- Membership, panels, and clinical services run alongside dispensing, with regular review of what's working. Your location is one of a small number of anchor stores in this initial phase; the goal is to prove real cash-pay revenue and a real payback period before expanding to more stores in the region.
- Later, on evidence
- Once the wellness layer is established and performing at your location, a conversion to the full HARP Wellness Pharmacy brand is considered: new signage, format, and merchandising. This happens on the timeline the results support, not on a fixed calendar, and an endorsement period (your name alongside the HARP name) comes first.
We aim to prove the model is real at your store before asking you, or any other owner, to change anything visible to a patient.
Why the Mountain West first
If your pharmacy is in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, Wyoming, or Montana, you're in the first region for a reason beyond geography. Our operating partner, Good Day Pharmacies, already runs pharmacies here, meaning real local knowledge of markets, sellers, and staff, not a playbook being learned for the first time on your business. Several of these states have also passed reform that protects independent pharmacy reimbursement, and a few allow nurse practitioners to prescribe without a supervising physician, which lowers the cost of running the clinical side well.
